The Re-Oathening
As usual, The Daily Show whacks the political nail on the head with their analysis of what is going on in Washington. The big event this week was, of course, the inauguration, in which W retook the oath of office he didn't pay much attention to the first time around. And since he doesn't pay much attention to the oath, why should we? So instead the focus shifts to the auguration speech, and oh, it was a good 'un.
Here's the clip (9mb).
Highlights of the inauguration speech redux:
- Freedom vs Liberty: Who wins? No one.
- "From the day of our founding": Bush rewrites the first 100 years of American history. Much like many conservatives want to rewrite the first four billion years of earth's history.
- President or Dungeon Master?: You decide.

Grab Some Goggles First
By far, the most disturbing thing you'll see today -- unless you have a thing for David Hasselhof, in which case, this will be the most tantalizing thing you'll see today, you sicko.

Good For A Laugh Or Two
If you enjoyed "Good to be in D.C." and "This Land," then you'll probably also get a kick out of JibJab's latest effort, "Second Term."
