It now looks as if the first of two US probes to Mars will not now be launched until June 8, the same day that the European Space Agency launches its Martian probe from Baikonur. Nasa's second probe is scheduled to launch on June 25. Each probe carries an orbiter and automated rover and each will explore a different region of the red planet looking for signs that water once existed there. [SPACE.com]
