Question: Can a portfolio operate in the same way as a weblog for individual community presence?

I'm not a coder but I wonder if the RSS.xml feeds could pop into a central area, like the 'announcements' section of Blackboard, giving a regular update as to whatever the community members are up to? Perhaps LCMSs could develop a compliance with blogging tools... ooohhhh!
