Another day in Paradise
Steve Sloan's weblog. A bit tech, a bit bikes, a bit family, a bit friends, a bit scooters, a bit photo, a bit trains, a bit fun. Eight bits; that's a byte!

Zoe, one precious puppy

Me holding Zoe

Jeff and Nicole have a wonderful new puppy named Zoe. She is a great dog! She sleeps two thirds of the time. Her sleep is so sound that you can pick her up and you'd almost think she was in a coma. When she sleeps you'd think she would be motionless but she is not. She twitches as she dreams. Sometimes you can tell she is dreaming of running around and playing, her paws are twitching. Other times she appears to be dreaming of her mothers teat as her lips purse and her muzzle tweaks. It is so cute. When she is awake she is a bundle of precocious energy. She bounds with typical puppy bumblingness. She has puppy breath and sharp little puppy teeth. She loves to chew most anything.

Lura Update

My sister Carol sends this: "She walked for the first time today--twice! And she says she felt much stronger the second time. The food at the hospital is so unbelievably wretched that I decided it's time for action! So, I went to Huckleberry's and bought veggie soup, fresh rolls, containers of cut up fruit, sauted green beans, etc. Lura LOVED the soup--first time I've seen her clean a dish since she's been in the hospital."
