Marie, my very longtime friend
Last month, about the time I was in Washington, was Marie's birthday. Marie Roby is my oldest friend who is not a relative. We have been friends since 1975 and have survived a lot. She was once married to my first wife's (Candy's) brother Dennis DuBois. My sister Lura and her were the first people I called after Candy died. Now she has a great marriage to Kirk Roby. She has two kids from her first marriage and four grand kids. I meant to post this photo last month but so much has been going on since then. Marie has been and continues to be a great friend. Kirk is also a great friend as is Dennis. Plus, they all have remained close fiends of each other as well. I think it is great that we have been able to keep our friendships strong through all the years and changes in our lives.
