Another day in Paradise
Steve Sloan's weblog. A bit tech, a bit bikes, a bit family, a bit friends, a bit scooters, a bit photo, a bit trains, a bit fun. Eight bits; that's a byte!

Just another manic Monday

Fran and Sue in Fran's new place

Fran has her new place and her furniture arrives today. There is major concern the Mayflower delivery van may not be able to negotiate the roads to her place. I think if they can get a mobile home down the streets they ought to be able to get in there with a moving van. If they decide they can't get the van in they will charge her another $380 to offload her stuff into a smaller van. Of course Mayflower didn't tell her that before she hired them to move her stuff. So this is a definite Mayflower Moving customer complaint! They should have been up front about this.

A contractor is starting work on installing a couple of cieling fans in our bathrooms. That will be nice. We had to empty out part of the closet where I store my 30 years of slides and negatives so he can get into the attic.

I have started laying out Sue's book. I am enjoying the work. I like working with Quark. This is quite a project and I have been spending more time in Illustrator than I thought I would.

Friday evening I went to the model railroad club. I met my old high school buddy Michelle. He was one of my best friends in high school. That was a suprise! Back in the 70's he built a model locomotive for me that I still have! She still builds great trains.

Lura is home now!
