Bad news from Spokane Another medical emergency Thursday night we got a call from my oldest son Steve. It seems my sister Lura's husband Floyd was hospitalized on Thursday after having a heart attack. He also has pnemonia and other problems. They have gotten the pnemonia under control and are doing a 4x bypass tomorrow. He will have another surgery a few days after that to deal with some other problems they found. Lura, of course, is still recovering from her cancer surgery and she cannot go to the hospital to be with or see Floyd. My other sister Carol has moved in with Lura. But, she has had her own heath issues and is not going to be able to take care of both of them when Floyd gets out of the hospital. So, I may have to take a leave to go up there and help out for awhile. I have never applied for a family medical leave so I guess I gotta figure out how that works. Fran and Frank's birthdays last week Fran and Frank's birthdays were last week. In all the turmoil lately we have not able to celebrate Fran's birthday properly. Her move to California has gone well. She is in a nice place with helpful neighbors. 1:03:17 PM    comment []
