I haven't been interviewed on TV since August, but they caught me at home today. Time was, back during the Aycock Neighborhood's redesign process and ensuing baseball stadium wars, I - and our then-neighborhood-president David Wharton - spent a ton of time in front of the cameras and talking to print reporters. Things are heating up again.
As Wharton says today, and The Inside Scoop posted Tuesday, The Aycock Plan (PDF file) is moving right along. Two of our neighborhood's largest projects are currently under the City's "Request for Proposal" phase of implementation and the newsies are again getting interested.
I just returned from plugging the Summit Avenue project for a story WFMY-TV will air tonight at 6:00. Next time, it will probably be the other "Aycock David" in front of the camera - but we are both pushing the same product.
