Few things create conversation like the future of one's children. Sometimes the conversation can be contentious, nasty and divisive, other times thoughtful, forthright but constructive. This blog has hosted both over the years.
On the eve of School Board discussions about the future makeup of two of Greensboro's inner city middle schools, I point Guilford County's Board of Education and other interested parties to the comments to the post I made last week about this issue. The comment thread to that post has been active ever since and the every issue in the debate has been covered, I think. More importantly, the issues are being discussed CIVILY and with open, inclusive and caring minds.
