Yeah, well... whatever.... go ahead and scrub the launch, and just see if we care.
If it goes off between now and next Wednesday we'll be there. In the meantime,we'll just have to find a way to tough it out somehow. I just hope I will not be forced to choose between watching Jesse's team play ball and the eventual launch. I'm afraid the shuttle will win in such a mind-tussle.
There was an audible groan when the postponement of the shuttle launch was announced to the thousands gathered at Space View Park in Titusville. (Location map) We had settled in to a primo spot under some live oaks at around 11:30a for the planned 3:40p spectacle. Despite the 94 degree heat, we were in it for the long haul. But I have to admit, we were glad to hit the beach a little early yesterday.
Today, after more beach lounging, we pack up from our wifi enabled Holiday Inn here in Daytona Beach Shores and head to the land of Disney.
