I attended online this seminar from former Apple Macintosh "evangelist" Guy Kawasaki. He is now a venture capitalist and addresses people about startup companies. But many of the ideas work just as well for those within existing companies trying to do something to boost the company. Kawasaki usually uses a "top ten" format. I'll whet your appetite with a few of his top ten.

1. Make meaning (what you do should increase the quality of life) 3. Get going (think different) 4. Define a business model (be specific, keep it simple) 6. Niche thyself 8. Hire infected people (does this person "get it"?, also hire better than yourself) 9. Lower barriers to adoption (especially for technological products)

If you'd like to view the Art of the Start seminar that I recently did for Raindance Communications, please click here . (My seminar is near the bottom so keep scrolling.)

The way this worked was that the audience viewed my PowerPoint slides while they listened to me talk (live) via a conference call. There's a registration process, and your computer/browser may not (apparently) pass the browser test. Keep ìcontinuingî through the browser test no matter what you're told.)

Essentially, this is the keynote speech that I give based on The Art of the Start .
