Swimming to Oblivion

Today I attended a book signing by Lynne Cox, the world's foremost marathon swimmer and author of "Swimming to Antarctica: Tales of a Long-Distance Swimmer".

Among the bodies of water Cox has swum are the Nile, the Cook Strait in New Zealand, the Strait of Magellan, the Cape of Good Hope, and the Bering Strait.  In the world of extreme endurance athletes, Lance Armstrong is perhaps Cox's only equal.

Cox has yet to swim to Cambodia in search of Spalding Gray, whose whereabouts remain unknown after he disappeared in January.
