Words by Color [posted by Troy] A link for "Color Code: A Color Portrate of the English Language" was sent to me today. It is very cool. This is art that transforms the English language used on the Web into color patterns that almost resemble a satellite photo or something. It's like spatially organizing all nouns into related catagories. Librarians that catalog materials should love this. Here's a description from the site's homepage: The artwork is an interactive map of more than 33,000 words. Each word has been assigned a color based on the average color of images found by a search engine. The words are then grouped by meaning. The resulting patterns form an atlas of our lexicon.
