A Busy Good Friday
I was up early this morning making hot cross buns and Scotch eggs. The construction crew also showed up pretty early today. They finished the downstairs bathroom (all that's left is to add the baseboards and new light fixture). I'm really happy with it and will post photos when Joe comes back with the camera. They also painted the ceilings in the livingroom and downstairs hall and prepped the walls for painting on Tuesday and Wednesday. Jamie and I helped move furniture, clear out the hall closet and generally acted as gophers.
Tonight, as his reward for helping, I'm taking him and a friend of his to see 'The Ring 2'. Not my choice but he really wants to go see it, so off we go. Meanwhile in Toronto, Teddi is having an early 50th birthday party for Joe. It's been fun working with her to contact people, some of whom he hasn't seen in years. I hope he'll be pleased.
