Disquiet I've been feeling a bit odd these last several days....unsettled and more worried than usual about my kids when they don't come home exactly when I expect them to. On the day of the London bombings (and before I knew about them) I woke up with a big headache. I so rarely get headaches that it came as a bit of a surprize. Then I started talking to people, and several others told me they were feeling the same way. I wonder what's up with the world - I suspect it's more than just London, although that in itself is enough to make anyone feel off-balance.
Big Fat Letter A few weeks ago on this blog, I was bemoaning the fact that I never write or receive handwritten letters any more. I didn't mean it as a hint to my friends, although reading it again now it comes across that way. In any event, I came home from work on Friday to find a 24 page letter from my friend Ted. Just as in the 'olden days', it was full of his delightful ramblings in barely legible handwriting. A wonderful read. Thanks Ted.
