Iris in the PIPE (Performing in Pecular Environments) performance
I went to see Iris' performance last night. It was unlike anything I'd ever seen before....a series of 10-minute scenes done in places like abandoned buildings, graveyards, and school yards. We were led from one scene to the other by a man pretending to be a woman. I can't say that I really understood much of what was going on, but it was intriguing. In Iris' piece, her and two others moved/danced around one another, then started throwing items from a pile of clothing at each other and calling out things like 'marshmallows' and 'voice.' Hmmmm.
