One of Life's Little Moments
I don't normally write about things like this, and I hope this won't gross people out, but I have to tell you about a humourous incident that happened to me yesterday.
I had gone to a noon hour jazz dance class and was grabbing a quick shower before I headed back to work. After I showered, I reached for my towel in my backpack and realized I had forgotten to bring it. There I was, dripping wet, and the only thing I could see to dry myself off with was my jazz pants. So I did. The problem was, when I grabbed for them, I accidently knocked my underwear onto the wet shower floor. I normally carry an extra pair whenever I come to class, but today I had left said undies rolled up in the towel at home.
What to do? I couldn't put them back on - they were just too wet. So I took a lesson from the Scots, pulled my billowy skirt on sans nickers, and went on my way.
I have to tell you, the Scots knew what they were doing. It felt wonderfully comfortable and free. The only problem was, it was a rather windy day yesterday, and I had to be outside a fair bit - over to the fishladder; to the car dealership to sign papers for the new truck. I was very careful to hold my skirt at all times, but even so, the wind did manage to take it skyward on one occasion in the parking lot of the car dealership. I quickly looked around, happy to see that there was no one in the vicinity. Then I glanced in the dealership window and saw a salesman standing there with a big smile on his face. Was he just being friendly or had he seen my faux pas? Had the skirt blown high enough to show anything? Guess I'll never know, but you can be sure I'll take extra care when getting ready for my next dance class!
