There has always been some confusion on the part of some condo boards regarding federal laws about discrimination against the handicapped. Is it the Americans With Disabilities Act? Or is it the Fair Housing Act?

A developer accused of illegally building condominiums in the Logan Square neighborhood has paid $150,000 to settle two city lawsuits, ending a years-long nightmare for two couples who unwittingly bought the units and later faced eviction.
