The Smiths have been hearing from the Village Homes Association since a fire burned down part of their house in 1986. When their house was not immediately restored, the association began sending letters saying the Smiths were violating the Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs).

It’s been nearly two months since Naples’ Dumpster beautification ordinance took effect, but 282 Dumpsters, compactors and roll-off containers citywide are still out of compliance and many have asked to be exempt from the law. But of the two businesses, 22 condominium associations, and one nonprofit shop that requested an exemption — many citing parking hardships or the impracticality of fencing in a Dumpster — only two were successful.

Cape Coral's Sunset Towers condominiums — a two-tower, eight-story, boarded-up complex that dominates the city's downtown skyline — could finally see the start of construction in a week. The two towers lost their roofs when Hurricane Charley struck Aug. 13, 2004.

A township woman cannot force a neighbor to remove a TV satellite dish that she contends is in her view, an appeals court has ruled. A two-judge panel rejected arguments by Kristin Schoenberg, who waged a two-year battle against the rooftop dish at The Commons at Stonegate condominiums.
