This weekend was a full and fun one, actually. As usual, though,
the bills must be paid and I must return back to the grind.
- Friday was a day off so I could visit my family outside of Ocean
City. I took along my Better Half to meet my clan, and although
the visit was short, it was a good time. She did not run away, so
I will have to rule this as a success. We will have to do it
again this summer when we get to actually enjoy the beach.
- Saturday, we returned to play in our football game.
Although it was a muddy day, we were victorious. Personally, I
had an interception, touchdown, and deflected pass. Overall,
though, we played quite well. Nice to get off the schneid.
- Sunday, it was time to go festival-hopping. The JHU Spring
Fest was fun--it was my first one in all my time living and growing up
in Baltimore. Ran into a bunch of bloggers, literally. The booth ran by seadragon and Brain Coral
was quite good as well. I felt bad since I did not buy anything,
but there are a couple of things I need to frame and hang before I get
some other photos. I do promise I will be making a purchase or
two in the near future, as I have a good mental catalog of some of the
photos I liked. Good job, guys!
The Federal Hill Spring Fling--although good to see the local
gang--sucked when compared to past events. We got bored of it and
left for the day. I just had no desire to drink beer and stand in
the middle of Cross Street.
- The O's! 8 games in a row! Wow! I have to admit
that I thought the streak was going to end on Saturday thanks to the
continuing mediocrity of Sir Fatty McFatfat
and Sammy "All I Do Is Hit Into Double Plays or Singles" Sosa.
Watching that game, Sosa swung at 3 consecutive high
fastballs--something an aging slugger has no business doing. My
prediction about his is going to be true. The 8 game streak,
though, is a nice ride. It actually feels good to be an O's fan
again, not painful like it has been.
- Cool Blogger Name: Thanks to all for the suggestions. Look
for something soon, just as soon as I get other work crap done this
week.
