I began an experiment with keeping my aggregator, FeedDemon, in sync with NewsGator. I figured that since NewsGator acquired Bradbury Software last week, it sort of made sense.
Well, I did some experimenting, and at first blush it appears that it
will do what I want it to. I can export all of my current feeds,
and NewsGator imports that file without a problem at all. I can
then go into FeedDemon and tell it to import these feeds.
The only problem I can see is that since I am fairly organized, I am
going to have to do a lot of post-import work once I get the
synchronized feeds in place. The feeds are slightly different
than the unsynchronized ones I have. Thus, I would have to import
them, and then I would have to delete the old unsynchronized
ones.
I made a post on the Feature Request forums here.
Essentially, I just want the option to replace my current channels in
my current channel groups. I do not want to do any
post-importation cleanup. I have a suspicion that this is coming,
but I see no harm in prodding a programmer every now and then.
Once that happens, I can then be in sync between my home workstation and my laptop.

As one of the few shows I watch on TV regularly, I watched the season finale of 24
last night. It was not too bad, but it did not seem up to its
usual high standards. I have to admit that my friend was dead on
earlier this season when he complained to me via AIM that the season is
much too predictable. That was so true last night. The one
good part about the finale last night: seeing the professional
mercenary Mandy getting punched in the face by Curtis. Serves her
cold-ass right!
Now, I have to wait until January 2006 for the new season, and
something tells me it will not be until the end of January. I
hate Fox when it comes to season premieres. Because of its
baseball and football schedules, you have to wait too darn long until a
new season of a good show premieres.
