Big Hack Attack Not much time to post during the workday today.  Yesterday, while looking at a couple of servers that were running rogue FTP servers, we discovered some additional machines that have been compromised.  Some of the machines are hosting pirated movies, while others are just waiting to be used for the same purpose.  Currently, I am documenting what needs to be done to remove the files and such that are the source of compromise.  We still need to track down the root cause of the compromise, as we have only a couple of hypotheses about how the hackers gained access.  8:36:59 AM    comment []  trackback []
