Well, according to the image here, it would appear that Crablogs
is officially done. I will have to remind myself to update my
blogroll this evening. It is a shame to see it go, but thanks for
letting it perform the service it once did.
In its place, though, has arisen Blogtimore, Hon.
We will learn more about the look of this new Baltimore-centric blog
repository at 6 PM EDT today. In the meantime, go visit the site
and sign up your blog.
Also, the venerable Blog Baltimore is still performing its duties admirably. If you have not done so, go throw your blog on that blog ring!
If, the links above do not make the point, use the below buttons and
their corresponding links to join both blog aggregators.
UPDATE: Please
note the modified blogroll to the left, as the demise of Crablogs has
now been reflected. Blogtimore has been added.

The technological part of the blogosphere has been alive this weekend with news about Apple announcing a change to Intel processors for use in their hardware. Soon, all of you Mac zealots can actually have a real processor inside your currently over-priced hardware. ;-)
I think this is a good move, albeit quite a late one. One of my
former colleagues at the University moved on a few years ago to become
a system engineer at Apple. He started there just before the
introduction of OS X. There were rumors about OS X running on
Intel hardware in Cupertino when he started working for them, and that
was five years ago.
I do not think they will have a large problem porting OS X to
Intel. Since its roots are Unix, it should be fairly easy to
compile. It should be interesting to see how this shakes out, but
the cost for Apple hardware should actually become quite cheaper.
Also, laptop upgrades should also occur more frequently given that
Intel has the cooler mobile processors.
There's a bunch of links to different perspectives on the announcement here. Go read them.
