Event organiser Ian Richards has news of next month's EAA 6th Royal Leamington Spa Grand Prix of Race Walking will take place on Saturday 16th April.
'This is an integral part of Leamington's bid for the 2007 European Cup of Race Walking and it is important that we demonstrate to the local community what an important event the Grand Prix is.'
'I would urge all race walkers past and present to attend the event and
demonstrate your support for the bid.'

'There are events for everyone- including an open one mile race walk, which
will incorporate the Legends of Race Walking Challenge.'
'We are also staging a series of one mile running races at the end of the
programme, so plaese encourage any friends and family to run in these.'
'The event will open with a one hour walking challenge event, which various
schools and organisations will be using as a sponsored walk. We are looking
for people to undertake this challenge and raise money for the Leamington
2007 bid.'
