Molly Barnett and Inter Counties Championship

There must have been more walkers and supporters on the sidelines at Coventry than I've seen at a walk event since Athens!

More than a trifle chillier but the roadwas about as new...

Over hundred starters braved the cold northerly winds, including John Constandinou who joined took up race walking after watching the discipline for the first time in the streets of Athens - unfortunately for him in his 10th race he was DQ'd. All part of the learning process John!

A welcome return was made by Debbie Wallen (left, of Chiltern Harriers, formerly of Aldershot) who finsihed third in the women's 5km in a respectable 25:42. "It was good to be back after so long away. Ireally enjoyed it" she said afterwards.

I narrowed 600 plus photos down to 350 on the train home, and lots more harsh editing will be required. As I type 80 photos are being uploaded from the Manx Open which will probably fill my webspace.

Here's a fun photo from the 3km start for now. Prints can be ordered - and after each order I get 50MB extra webspace. Just e-mail your requests - I have photos of almost everyone walking.
