Braziliaanse versie Big Brother uitgesteld. Hier [Media]

Marcus and I want to bang it around a bit more before releasing it. Hmm, kindof like a public beta....

One more thing, you'll need to be a member of this weblog in order to participate.

Doc's post about journalism prompted me to re-read The Zen TV Experiment. Its a piece I've pointed to twice in as many years.

I come from television, I was born into the world of Saturday morning cartoons and then I became one. Literally

Television is a tool, a machine. When used effectively it equals the power of politics squared. That's why politicians use the tool so often.

CNN promotes Paula Zahn as being 'sexy' in lieu of promoting her "23 year journalistic career" because no one watching cares about her credits. The typical male viewer is thinking about how sexy Paula looks, and she is sexy. Paula also plays cello, which is sexy times two.

It is no concidence that sex and nudity are as good as banned from TV in the United States. It makes the Tool stronger. We subsequeently flock to whatever 'sex' we can get from our sets. Sex sells.

When TV execs talk about their line-up of shows they talk about their programming. Just what do you think they are referring to?

Dave: "BTW, picture a blogger watching the keynote in the living room, making notes on a wireless laptop. The integration of all that blogging with the TV show is the vision of the future. It's what computers add to the mix -- community. In a sense we're already doing that, but I'm working at my desktop not watching the event in person or on TV. That's the flip side. I can actually tell, somewhat, what's going on just by reading the sites when they update. " powerful shit
