I installed Movable Type 2 on my Cobalt Qube 2. My goal is to move my blog over there, and post to it using Radio Userland's awesome news aggregator and Dave's Manila-Blogger Bridge.

First problem: mt-xmlrpc.cgi requires Perl 5.6 or greater (PS - Ben, that's not in the docs, but thanks for the tip). My Qube has perl 5.somethingreallylow, so I had to install a seperate build of perl parallel to my original install. I'd upgrade the whole thing, but cobalt uses some vendor specific perl code, and last time I went up against Cobalt's bad perl juju, I lost in a big way.

Things seem to be working now, so I'll probably start the move in a couple of days. But first I have to paint my living room. Yuck.
