The Buckner Building, once the largest building in Alaska, used to house nearly every resident of the port town of Whittier, Alaska. Severly damaged in the 9.2 magnitude 1964 earthquake, it was abandonded and now stands in disrepair. The town has moved into a former Army barracks, now converted into a condominium tower.
