Yahoo's 'Opt-Out' Angers Users
In an e-mail that begins, 'Your privacy is very important to us,' Yahoo informs its users that it will begin providing personal information to marketers, even if the user had already opted against it. [Wired News]
Yahoo sucks. It's that simple. I am astounded at the level of stupidity this displays. I realize that as a publicly traded company they have to deal with making money, but this is simply stupid. Who ever came up with this idea should be fired. All companies have 'moments of truth' and this one is not a good one. What Yahoo has done here is damage their credibility in a serious manner. So much for the Yahooligans...mj
