A $30 million advertising campaign jointly funded by Microsoft and Unisys to trumpet the superiority of Windows over "closed" Unix systems has turned into a public relations nightmare for the two companies. [The Register]
Another funny tale of how not to do things. Over the years I have been amazed by the stupid errors made in PR campaigns and ads. The computer industry seems to be more prone to this than any other. From Windows ads with Macs in them to flying Intel chips rendered on Macs, to attacking Unix while using it...hmm, you would think that they would learn...mj
