Some light reading...TCPA/Palladium
TCPA stands for the Trusted Computing Platform Alliance (TCPA), an initiative led by Intel. Palladium is Microsoft's attempt to meld TCPA with a future version of Windows. If you really want to understand what the issues are, I suggest you read this FAQ. Of course you could just sit back and do nothing. Then one day you will wake up to discover that soemone else has control of all the data in your computer
Palladium Pal*la"di*um, n.
- (Gr. Antiq.) Any statue of the goddess Pallas; esp., the famous statue on the preservation of which depended the safety of ancient Troy.
- Hence: That which affords effectual protection or security; a sateguard; as, the trial by jury is the palladium of our civil rights.
Troy fell, what does that mean?...mj
