Qwest faces criminal probe
Denver-based telecom reveals notice of investigation by U.S. Attorney; subject not disclosed.
Qwest Communications International Inc. said Wednesday that the U. S. Attorney's office in Denver has informed it that it had begun a criminal investigation of the company.
The telecom's one-paragraph statement said federal prosecutors did not disclose the subject of the investigation. The company was notified of the probe Tuesday afternoon. [CNN/Money]
This comes as no surprise. The stock that once flew in the $60+ range, is now grounded under $2.00. I talk to friends of mine; who still work there, and they are worried that they will see their pensions dry up. They see their 401k's losing so much value. Me, I sold my shares at $54.00. I got out because I saw nothing but bad news ahead. Of course I only had a small number of shares, and I mean really small. I wish I could have been so smart about ABI...mj
