You Will Pay $129 & Be Happy
Apple is removing any post on their discussion boards that are critical of the 10.2 and .mac pricing. I know because I have had 4 post deleted so far. I used no profanity. I simply questioned the reasoning behind the price structure and the fact that someone buying a boxed copy of 10.1 in the next month would have to pony up another $129 to get 10.2!?
I don't deny Apple's right to administer their boards. I do not expect .mac or 10.2 to be free. I want to stress that I am not looking for 'free', what I am looking for is something that respects the loyalty of the Mac faithful. A fair and reasonable upgrade policy that thanks those of us who have sweated through the agony that was 10.0, and spent the money supporting Apples attempts to improve the OS (10.1). To now be told that we have to pay the same price as someone buying into it for the first time is insulting.
I think Apple has made a big mistake with 10.2 and .mac. Only time will tell if the outrage that is running rampant will effect Apple's decision...mj
