Internet Radio Fights Back
The recent fee decision by the Library of Congress on royalty payments is silencing webcasters across the Internet. This decision provided no exemptions or reduced fees for educational and non-profit stations. In reality it simply puts them out of business.
Mary Wehmeier has posted the list as of 7/11, of those stations that have been silenced. We are locked in a war, a war against the fatcats in LA, who want to control what you listen to, where you listen to it, and how many times you listen to it. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO VISIT THIS PAGE. It will take you less than two minutes and will send a fax to the Senate and House memberrs for your area, protesting the LOC decision. You don't even have to know their names (be nice if you did though ;-)...mj
