Awesome Martha Z. thought the my little ditty The Twinkle in His Eye was "Awsome!" I had the honor of listening to the cassette of the old man. Is positive energy contagious? Since the home visit Martha and Ruth agree that both the grandson and father come now with a new verve to school. Though the boy's father wasn't there on the Friday visit, Martha told the mom what committed parents she they were. Martha added that dad was a model father. Maybe negativity doesn't stand a chance with the humor of Martha Z. and the one-in-a-million smile of Ruth. As further proof, Martha Z. pointed to the budding jungle stretching out of the grow lab that was put together a week ago. Who am I to argue? I believe!

I can see why another school tried to recruit Martha and Ruth away from Whittier. I am glad they stayed.
