RDF and lojban
I did a little work with loglan in the 1970's, and kept somewhat current for a while
with the lojban effort. When web workers started
talking about RDF, it sure did strike me as a goofy attempt to solve some closely
related problems. Lojban's logical structure and its "predicates" sure feel like they
could do a lot of what RDF does, though the extensibility is nowhere near as
explicitly supported. More thought required...
