A few weeks ago, I posted a link to a story about a slinky.  It appealed to me at a number of levels.  Nostalgia.  Appeal of something that is so apparently simple.  External simplicity that is the result of a lot of hard work and technology. And the fact that the KB toy store mentioned was across the street from my first apartment that I got in the early eightys.

Yesterday my wife was talking on her cell phone (then pretentious, now ubiquitous) to our daughter (now 9) from that mall.  Oh well, enough nostalgia for now.  Later today, I've got a plane to catch.

As reported by Infoworld, a month ago Dave Winer said about WSDL it will only work in Java and .Net environments. It can't work in a dynamic environment.  I was on a path to prove these statements false.  Step one, become a radio user.  Ultimately I wrote two essays exploring WSDL from both the Radio consumption and production perspective.  I couldn't have written these essays a month ago.  Now I have Jon Udell who writes for a living complimenting my work.
