Extremists vs Moderates 'The President continues his drive to a war with Iraq despite the condemnation of this action by most of the world?s political and religious leaders. Bush has said, ?our nation is chosen by God and commissioned by history to be a model to the world of justice.? Couple this with a feeling that he was ?called? to lead, and his disregard of the opposition to war becomes clear. When you have an absolute belief that you are right, you become blind to other possibilities. This complete conviction to the cause and a willingness to use the U.S. military to carry out his (or God?s) will without U.N. support leads many to believe he is an extremist.'
