Slashdot has rather bizarre "Ask Slashdot" piece in which the poster asks what would happen if so many people used Tivo or Tivo-like digital recorders that can skip past or won’t save commercials that commercials are no longer saleable by the networks. While there is a lot of discussion about television taxes few people have stated this would simply mean TV networks would move become pay-channels like HBO. I guess they don’t want to face they possibility. 7:38:50 PM
