The Guardian and The Star denied claims by the head of the Israeli government press office that his policy of boycotting some of their reporters led to their removal from their press posts in Israel. As the Lebanon’s Wazzani River water pumping project is opened and makes the major news sources (Reuters, Globe and Mail, Houston Chronicle), The Jerusalem Post notes that once the US deals with Iraq, Israel will be free to take action and therefore want to avoid really provoking Israel. 10:23:55 PM ![]() |
Thomas L. Friedman writes about the campus divestiture campaigns, calling them deeply dishonest and hypocritical because they only single out Israel and ignore the role of the Palestinians in the current Middle-East problems. Friedman also calls on supporters of Israel to accept legitimate criticism, in particular how Israeli control of the West Bank and Gaza will unavoidably lead to more Arabs in Israel and Israeli controlled areas than Jews and the consequences of this.
