While some Americans complain about President George W. Bush’s supposed lack of knowledge about the world it’s clear that it’s Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chrétien who should never be allowed to travel to international events outside of the United States. He attended a francophone summit in Lebanon yesterday that included the presence of Sheik Hassan Nasrallah the leader of the terrorist Hezbollah organization. The Globe and Mail reports that Chrétien stated, "Who is [he]? I don't know." Much of the summit was taken up by anti-Israel comments. Given that most of the countries at the summit are there only because the French colonized them, this seems to be the wrong target. 11:28:28 AM ![]() |
The New York Times Magazine has an article The Remote Controllers, that discusses the Television Without Pity web site and other web sites in which fans express their opinion on the shows they watch and sometimes are even listened to by the television executives. Sometimes it is only shoutouts – in-jokes to the forum’s participants but sometimes it is actual changes in the script or characters to make them more appealing to the show’s biggest fans. 11:27:23 AM ![]() |
