The Jerusalem Post reports that Israeli Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer stated that he would authorize the construction of an additonal 300-km of a security fence between Israel and the West Bank. Meanwhile Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, a Nobel Prize winner member of the Labour Party berated the European parliament for their biased view of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Executives at television stations in the New York City area have proposed building a 2,000-foot television antenna tower that would be the tallest freestanding structure in the world, beating the CN Tower. The tower would replace the antenna lost when the North Tower of the World Trade Centre was destroyed. The current replacement on the Empire State Building is considered inadequate for current use and there is no space on the building for digital antennas. 12:01:29 AM ![]() |
