The Minneapolis-St.Paul Star Tribune has hometown and national coverage of the death of Democratic Senator Paul Wellstone in an airplane crash just days before the mid-term elections that included the battle for his seat in the Senate. Also killed is him wife, one of his three daughters and five others. Two years ago another plane crash killed Missouri Gov. Mel Carnahan, a Senate candidate, both occurred while the men were campaigning. 9:01:58 PM
