Newsweek has an article on the dangerous possibility that Arab construction work on the Temple Mount could cause a portion of the Mount’s Southern Wall to collapse. The main danger is that if the wall collapses it would provide Palestinians and the Arab world a pretext for further violence against Israel. The article is written from a mostly Arab point of view with the Jewish connection to the Temple Mount minimised. The First and Second Temples are not referred to until mid-way through the article and only than as "believed to be" located there. Similarly while the article mentions that the lower portion of the Southern Wall is made up of Herodian stone (therefore built at the same time as the Western Wall) the significance of this is not explained. Overall this article is a poor introduction to the issue. 4:09:53 PM
