Las Vegas, a-go-go We're off to don fancy dress attire for tonight's Well-Connected Awards celebration. But before that, here's a quick rundown of the more interesting vendor announcements from day one here at Networld+Interop. Sniffer goes mobile with support for PDAs and other wireless devices...at last. Symbol unleashes an entire buffet of VLAN/WLAN security tools. VeriSign set to offer a full suite of security services, including IDS, antivirus, and managed firewall services. Oh, and on a slightly different note, I'd like to offer a moment of silence for the passing of Apple's Mac OS 9, which will fade into history this summer. Rest easy 9. Thank you.
