Bad robot, bad, bad... If you've never had a good reason to monitor the accuracy of your robots.txt file, we have three words for you...Mesa Verde Motel. These poor folks posted an internal page to their site, containing names and phone numbers of all who reserved a room at the inn. Now this could have ended nicely, except that the Mesa Verde Motel allowed Google to index this page, and presto, instant privacy violation. Our motto?
