Peter and I just returned from yet another great dinner at Wild Ginger one of the great Asian-Fusian restaurants in the US. And it is certainly a Ski Boy-Slat Rat favorite. We've had some of our most romantic dinners ever, a la The Lady and the Tramp at the Wild Ginger.
The entire dinner, at every course, was exquisite (without being too rich). Super pot stickers (although, Mei-Ling's are better!), lamb satays with a peanut sauce to die for, amazing ahi, and for dessert, coconut and ginger ice creams and an orgasmic mango sorbet...The topper was the "Satay Separator:" Grand Marnier, Cognac, Kahlula (sp?) topped with heavy cream served in a chilled martini glass. Total delicious evil. yum...

Saddam looks like a street person. Peter and I are convinced we saw him yesterday in Pike Street Market.

Peter's birthday movie was Something's Gotta Give with Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton. It was totally delightful - and as all the reviews have proclaimed, Diane Keaton is fabulous. And, for the first time ever, I found Jack Nicholson attractive.
As a part of our movie experience, we participated in a Warner Brother's survey - it's the movie's opening weekend. Our showing's audience were supplied with little pencils and green detailed survey cards which we partially filled out prior to the movie and then completed after the movie. It was really quite amusing, after the movie, out in the well lit lobby, all of us with our little pencils hunkered over our green survey sheets. I was reminded of the SAT's.
The survey is yet another indicator that we're in the big city - we never get Warner Brother's opening weekend surveys in little ol' remote Anchorage.

So, the Ski Boy and are recovering from yesterday's birthday revelry - shopping, presents, movie, a fabulous dinner at Campange, wine - definitely more than enough to do the two of us in!
