So, Henry II and I were puttering down the hill, into the cul de sac, and getting ready to wheel into the driveway, when we were greeted by Alces alces gigas steadfastly positioned in our driveway. Henry was scared. This moose was HUGE - one of the biggest that I've seen. Certainly bigger than little Hank. Peter thought that if Sunday's moose was Alces alces minaturas, then this guy should be Alces alces stupendous.
Little Henry bravely engaged in a stare down with the moose. The moose blinked first and ambled a few feet off the driveway - just enough for us to scoot by.
Unfortunately I was not able to get a good angle to show just how big this guy was. I certainly was not going to sneak around in front of him.
The photo is black and white because I used my Sony F707's Nightshot feature. This picture was shot at night with very little ambient light. I think it turned out pretty well. Untouched, it is somewhat green. But Photoshop's auto adjust levels feature, turns it into a black and white shot.

I know you can't see all of the moose in this picture. But I just loved the juxtaposition of the moose, the trees, the snow covered lawn ornaments, and the shadows on the snow.
