As I might have briefly mentioned in passing, it's been snowing for the past four days - straight. Our roads are getting narrower and narrower and narrower. Four lanes are down to two. Two lanes are down to one.
And what are those narrow little roads like? Think heavily rutted wagon trails. Think Wagon Train. Think throwing the silver chest out to lighten the load.
Poor Henry II just bounces, jerks, and rattles down the road.

I know I'm a Johnny One Note, but it is still snowing. Even as I type.
We got another four inches today

I finally went to the doctor today. It turns out that I have a nasty little case bacterial bronchitis as well as being a voiceless croaking wonder. So, antibiotics and continued no talking are on my agenda.
It would be nice if my voice made a reappearance by Christmas. Whispered "oohs and ahs" just don't cut it.

Christmas Eve is tomorrow night! So, if you want to be hip to Santa's progress, plug the URL for NORAD's Santa Tracker into your browser and follow along.
You may wonder just how NORAD actually tracks Santa. Here's the scoop:
The moment our radar tells us that Santa has lifted off, we begin to use the same satellites that we use in providing warning of possible missile launches aimed at North America...The satellites have infrared sensors, meaning they can see heat. When a rocket or missile is launched, a tremendous amount of heat is produced - enough for the satellites to see them. Rudolph's nose gives off an infrared signature similar to a missile launch. The satellites can detect Rudolph's bright red nose with practically no problem...It is important to note, however, that our scientists have tried to determine the chemical process that occurs that creates the heat that is generated by Rudolph's nose but they have not been able to thus far.
Santa over San Fancisco in 2001.
Evidently, " Santa often needs Rudolph's bright nose to navigate through San Francisco."
