Man, when it rains it pours. I am experiencing the joy of only my second sinus infection ever - and it is a brutal one. No runny nose, just a little post nasal drip. But the head pain is through the roof. And as an added attraction, I have five (5!) canker sores. I think I should do us all a favor and just lop off my head and be done with it.
After futzing around with the sinus infection for almost a month, I finally saw my doctor yesterday. Those of us who don't get sinus infections sort of foolishly hope they'll just disappear all by themselves. Anyhoo, my doc prescribed antibiotics and a CT Scan (we're going hunting for sinusitis - which I highly doubt is an actual issue). The antibiotics helped almost immediately - which is both good and bad. Good in that the pain goes away. Bad in that the pain comes back about three hours before it's time for the next pill. When the pain goes away, and then comes back, you realize just how bad it really is....
Oh well - enough whining! It should all be fine within a week.
Who knew that us Pekingese got sinus infections?
